If you are searching for a cheap e liquid and want to experiment with flavours and nicotine strength, than we definitely recommend you to mix your own, self-made vape juice. DIY E Liquid or DIY Vape Juice means nothing else but “do it yourself”.
First steps
The most important things you will need for your own mix are:
- PG (Propylene Glycol),
- VG (Vegetable Glycerine),
- Nicotine,
- E Liquid Concentrates. We recommend T Juice Red Astaire Concentrate
Firstly, you have to put together the main elements of your own vape juice. These main elements are the PG (Propylene Glycol) and the VG (Vegetable Glycerine), which create the base of your e liquid. Actually adding flavours and nicotine is an optional step. Before mixing together the PG and VG, you will also have to decide, which ratio to take. Propylene Glycol (PG) is a petroleum by-product.
While mixing you will realize, that it has no odour or colour at all. Furthermore, the more viscous part of your e liquid base will be the Vegetable Glycerine (VG). This is a thick liquid, that produces the vapour and gives your vape juice a sweeter taste. If you are on the mission to quit smoking and want to enjoy a smoking-similar vaping experience, you might choose a higher PG ratio, as Propylene Glycol is used to provide a ‘throat hit’. However, the most common ratios between PG and VG are 50/50 or 70/30, but we encourage you to experiment with the base. Make sure both come from reliable sources and are pharmaceutical grade.
Second steps
Quality is one of the most important things when mixing your DIY e liquid. Please make sure, that you purchase your ingredients from reliable sources and do not use any imitations or non-certified liquids.
When you are done with your base, you can add some nicotine and flavour concentrate to your vape juice. Therefore, you will need to buy a nic shot and an e liquid flavour concentrate.
Of course, it is up to you, what nicotine strength you want to have, you can choose between a nicotine free vape juice or 3-6 mg nicotine. Now follows the flavour: we highly recommend you following E Liquid Concentrates, which are rated best by our Customers:
Nevertheless you can experiment a lot by trying different kind of base ratios and different kind of e liquid flavour concentrates. Next to the recommended flavourings, there is a huge diversity of flavours on the vaping market: you will find dessert, sweets, menthol, fruit, tobacco, aniseed, drink and other sort of flavours. It is up to you, whether you prefer the fruity or sweet ones.
Let’s get back to the mixing of your DIY Vape Juice
Typical mix ratio for your DIY E Liquid is a base liquid with PG/VG ratio of 50/50 or 30/70. Next to this you should dilute your e liquid flavour concentrate as you prefer, but commonly we recommend a ratio of 15-20% depending on the required flavour strength.
After all it is time to steep your e liquid: recommended steeping time is from 3 to 5 days. Please remember to store your DIY e liquid in a safe and dark.
